Dialogue with educators will help to implement quality changes in education. This was stated by Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov during his speech at the forum "Education of Ukraine 30 without barriers: vectors of quality and success".
"Working together remains an important issue for us. The main thing is not just to make a law, a management decision at the level of the Ministry of Education and Science, but to have a dialogue and feedback from you on how well it works. Because it happens well on paper, but then when it starts working, there are flaws. That is why we need to admit our mistakes and correct them," he said.
Dmytro Razumkov noted that education reform is taking place today at all levels - from preschool to higher education and science. He also added that the Verkhovna Rada identifies this area as a priority in its activities. According to him, the relevant Ministry and the Parliamentary Committee are cooperating well on this issue.
The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the COVID-19 pandemic was a challenge for the country and a particularly serious test for educators.
"These conditions have led us to work online. Today we must take this into account in the future formation of the budget," said Dmytro Razumkov. At the same time, he noted that online education cannot completely replace full-time education.
In addition, the Speaker stressed the importance of overcoming barriers to education in Ukraine.
"It has always been that it was much more difficult for a child to get an education in small villages than in Kyiv and regional centers. Today, thanks to new technologies and External independent evaluation, we can talk about equalizing opportunities between students entering universities," said Dmytro Razumkov.
He also reminded that the Verkhovna Rada this year awarded scholarships in the

amount of UAH 100 thousand for the best result in the External independent evaluation.
