Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov signed the Law of Ukraine “On the Main Principles of Youth Policy” (No. 3718).

 According to the Law of Ukraine No. 3718 “On the Main Principles of Youth Policy”:

 - the youth age will be decreased to 29 years (at present the youth age limit is 35 years);

 - a National Council on Youth will be created as a consultative and advisory body under the Government;

 - local state administrations and local self-government bodies will be empowered to create youth councils;

 The Law of Ukraine No. 3718 “On the Main Principles of Youth Policy” regulates the activities of the Ukrainian Youth Fund – a budgetary institution whose activities are directed and coordinated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports; the fund may receive foreign grants and voluntary donations from individuals/legal entities.

 The Law proposes creating an extensive network of youth centers.

 According to the Law of Ukraine No. 3718 “On the Main Principles of Youth Policy”, it will be possible to receive preferential long-term loans from the State Budget for education, for construction or purchase of housing:

 - families without children will repay a loan at an annual interest rate of 3%;

 - families with 1 child will be exempt from paying the interest;

 - for families with 2 children 25% of the loan amount will be canceled;

 - for families with 3 or more children, 50% will be canceled;

 The Law establishes the organizational and legal grounds for the activities of youth and children’s public associations.

 The law submitted for signature to the President of Ukraine.
