A meeting with representatives of specialized executive authorities, such as National Commission for State Regulation of Communications and Information, State Agency for Electronic Governance of Ukraine, Administration of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, Ukrainian Centre of Radio Frequencies, and others was held in the Committee for Informatization and Communications. The meeting was aimed to get acquainted with the specialized Committee of the Verkhovna Rada and elaborate an action plan on reforming and improving legislative bases of ICT market activity.
Apart from general issues, the Parties discussed the most acute issues of the market. Firstly, they discussed the tender for 3G and revenues to the state budget received from selling licences. On introducing 4G technologies, the Parties agreed that it is necessary to take two steps: research and inventory the status of telecommunication networks and initiate legislative initiatives, first of all, on refarming.
The participants of the meeting also discussed implementation of Ukrainian legislation in compliance with EU norms, cyber security, joint functioning of state electronic resources, introducing e-governance, and policy of openness of the Verkhovna Rada and of the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat.
Summing up, participants of the meeting agreed to hold regular open meetings.
