The Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy heard the leadership of the State Customs Service of Ukraine on problematic issues that arise in the organization of customs authorities, ways to address them and the plan for the organization of work and development of customs in 2022.
During the discussion, MPs raised the following issues: schemes used to obtain preferential conditions for registration of goods at customs, in particular, related to the establishment of associations, the import of Korean cars; development of a system of automation of customs procedures; equipping car checkpoints; creation of an electronic log of the maritime checkpoint; activities of the Coordination and Monitoring Customs; state of information protection; specific facts of violations of customs legislation.
Danylo Hetmantsev, Head of the Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, drew the participants' attention to the growth of tax benefits at certain customs offices, in particular, those provided for raw materials for the production of excisable goods. In general, according to him, the excise tax benefits provided in 2021 increased by 21% compared to 2020.
Danylo Hetmantsev called on the newly appointed acting Head of the State Customs Service Vyacheslav Demchenko to draw personnel conclusions if people steal or fail to perform their duties.
Based on the results of the hearing, a decision of the Committee will be prepared.
