The MP held talks with representatives of Norwegian delegations to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, as well as with members of the Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee. During the meetings, they discussed current security challenges, priorities for supporting Ukraine in 2026, and further coordination of actions on international parliamentary platforms.
Special attention was paid to issues of energy and humanitarian aid, support for Ukrainian communities abroad, protection of children, and the creation of safe educational spaces amid russia's ongoing armed aggression against Ukraine.
During her visit, Halyna Mykhailiuk also raised issues of defence policy and security support for Ukraine.
During her visit, the MP held talks with the Norwegian Minister of Defence, during which they discussed further areas of security cooperation between Ukraine and Norway.
In addition, Halyna Mykhailiuk attended Question Time in the Storting, where issues of defence policy and support for Ukraine were discussed, particularly within the framework of the Nansen Programme. Such parliamentary attention, as the MP notes, confirms Norway's consistent focus on Ukraine's security needs and its long-term support.A meeting was also held with Norwegian parliamentarian Peter Frølich, head of the Fritt Ukraina Foundation, which provides extensive support to Ukraine in the defence, humanitarian and social spheres.
The visit demonstrated Norway's continued willingness to play an active role in supporting Ukraine and strengthening European security.
