On June 11, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the draft Resolution "On the Appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Parliaments and Governments of the World's Democratic Countries, International Organisations and Their Interparliamentary Assemblies on the Occasion of the 30th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine" (Reg. No 15255).
In the Appeal, the Verkhovna Rada once again draws attention of the international community to the russian federation's violations of the international law, russian war crimes in Ukraine, the destruction of Ukrainian cultural heritage, and attempts to deprive Ukraine of its future through the deportation of children.
The text of the parliamentary Appeal contains vital calls for the continuation of comprehensive political, economic, military, and humanitarian support for Ukraine in its resistance against the russian federation's full-scale armed aggression. Specifically, it calls for expanding the US-NATO "Priority Requirements List for Ukraine" (PURL) initiative and the European Union's "Security Actions for Europe" (SAFE) instrument, alongside intensifying sanctions pressure on the russian federation's key economic sectors, its "shadow fleet," and its energy and military-industrial complexes.
Despite the ongoing russian armed aggression, now in its fifth year, on June 28 Ukraine will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine—the foundation of our state's democratic development.
