Head of group for interparliamentary relations with Qatar Andrii Artemenko visits Qatar to meet with Minister of Energy and Industry of the country

At the meeting, representatives of Qatar confirmed readiness to supply liquefied gas to Ukraine.

In turn, the Minister of Energy and Industry noted that Qatar had several times discussed respective problem at the negotiations with Turkey.

The Qatari minister considers it expedient to supply liquefied gas to already existing gas hubs in the countries of the Western Europe.

At the same time, he agreed that the issue of gas supplies from Qatar is geopolitical and strategic.

Artemenko expressed confidence that after the election in Turkey to take place this year, there will be a chance to tackle the issue.

The Ukrainian delegation also consisted of Verkhovna Rada deputies Andrii Teteruk and Denys Sylantiev.
