The parties discussed the further development of Ukrainian-Japanese relations, support for Ukraine in the context of ongoing russian aggression, and Japan's role in humanitarian demining, reconstruction and restoration of our state.
Special attention was paid to the decision of the Japanese Parliament to include funds to support Ukraine in Japan's supplementary budget, as well as emergency assistance to Ukraine's energy sector, which is crucial for getting through the winter period.
During the meeting, Halyna Mykhailiuk conveyed to Mr. Nukaga an official invitation from the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, to visit Ukraine with a view to further deepening interparliamentary dialogue and cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
