First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Oleksandr Korniienko, took part in the presentation of new approaches to the design of school spaces in institutions of general secondary and vocational education. The event took place on April 17, 2025, at the Museum of Mathematics on the grounds of the National Expocenter of Ukraine (VDNH).
In the presentation took part such high-ranking officials as: Representatives of the Ukrainian Parliament, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Office of the President of Ukraine, as well as heads and sectoral deputy heads of military-civil administrations.
The event was dedicated to the discussion of new innovative concepts and practical solutions for creating modern and comfortable learning environments.
First Deputy Speaker Oleksandr Korniienko highlighted the presentation of a significant educational project aimed at equipping 100 schools across Ukraine with new STEM laboratories.
After listening to the speeches of government representatives, Oleksandr Korniienko confirmed that Ukraine's educational direction is the right one.
The First Deputy Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament emphasized the need to ensure a comprehensive system for training engineering personnel at all levels, as well as continuing to equip classrooms with modern technology.
Oleksandr Korniienko reminded that countries such as South Korea, Japan, and Germany, through high-tech and technical progress, significantly increase their GDP, and that Ukraine has every chance to replicate their success.
Concluding his speech, Oleksandr Korniienko called for an increase in the number of graduates choosing technical specialties: up to 20% from the current 6%. This process is projected to involve all regions of the country.
The First Deputy Speaker noted that the Verkhovna Rada is actively working on the development of the education sector in Ukraine.
