Japan confirms its unchanging support for Ukraine. This was discussed during a conversation between Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and Eisuke Mori, newly elected Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan.

Eisuke Mori expressed his deep respect for the Ukrainian nation, which is fighting for its freedom and independence. He highlighted that ongoing events in Ukraine are close and relatable to Japan considering common security challenges. 

According to him, the Japanese Parliament remains united in its support for Ukraine, and Japanese people are going to continue demonstrating their full solidarity with our country. 

The parties discussed further interparliamentary cooperation, in particular the exchange of visits and participating in international parliamentarian forums. The agreement to continue coordination of efforts to achieve just and long-lasting peace under the terms acceptable to Ukraine was reached. 

Ruslan Stefanchuk expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support for Ukraine and solidarity of the Japanese nation.
