The parties discussed a number of issues. First of all, the importance of holding the Global Peace Summit.
“I highly appreciate Switzerland’s agreement to host the inaugural Global Peace Summit and the efforts to prepare this major event for the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk.
He expressed his hope for a successful Summit and consolidation of the international community’s efforts aimed at establishing sustainable and just peace in Ukraine: “The Swiss Parliament has become one of the most important platforms for presenting the Ukrainian Peace Formula.”
The parties also touched upon humanitarian, financial and political support.
The interlocutors paid special attention to humanitarian demining and cooperation between Ukraine and Switzerland in this area.
The parties also discussed the development of an international mechanism for the transfer of frozen assets of the russian federation for the needs of Ukraine’s recovery. “There is no doubt that the restoration of Ukraine and compensation for the damage caused to Ukrainians must be carried out at the expense of the aggressor state,” Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
At the same time, he noted Switzerland’s proactive position on restoring justice and bringing russia to justice to compensate for the damage caused to Ukraine.
