There are /// bodies in focus of our committee scan today:
Committee on Digital Transformation
The body has set up a task group in charge of working out legislative changes in functioning of electronic payment systems. The new group shall focus on making amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On payment systems and money transfers in Ukraine” (regarding Internet-based payment transactions).
The group shall be headed by Roman Sokha, the Chairman of the Sub-committee on Electronic Governance and Electronic Commerce. The group head has been instructed to staff the group within ten days. The task group shall be allowed to involve skilled outsourcers, including governmental, non-governmental and foreign ones.
Committee on Public Health, Medical Assistance and Medical Insurance
Ten sub-committees have been set up within the committee structure. They are as follows:
1. Sub-committee on Medical Insurance, headed by Oles Dovhyi (non-affiliated);
2. Sub-committee on Public Health, headed by Maksym Perebyinis (Servant of the People);
3. Sub-committee on Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Activities, headed by Serhii Kuzminykh (Servant of the People);
4. Sub-committee on Epidemic Safety, Combating HIV/AIDS and Socially Dangerous Diseases, headed by Lada Bulakh (Servant of the People);
5. Sub-committee on Modern Medical Technology and Transplantology Development, headed by Oksana Dmytriieva (Servant of the People);
6. Sub-committee on Health Recovery, Mother and Child Welfare, headed by Mykhailo Makarenko (OP – For Life);
7. Sub-committee on Military Medicine, headed by Yana Zinkevych (European Solidarity), who combines this post with being the committee secretary;
8. Sub-committee on Medical Technology and Conveyances, headed by Yaroslav Dubnevych (parliamentary group “For the Future”);
9. Sub-committee on Public Health Technical Regulation and Standardization, headed by Valerii Dubil (AUA “Batkivshchyna”), who combines this post with being the committee deputy head;
10. Sub-committee on Cancer Prevention and Control, headed by Valerii Zub (Servant of the People).
Personnel matters of the sub-committees have also been finalized at the committee sittings.
Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence
The committee presented the prospect of reforming the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). Together with the Law Enforcement Committee, the body has held today a joint working meeting called to make it public the concept of reforming the Security Service of Ukraine.
Representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NISS), the Ukrainian Institute of the Future, the Embassy of the United States of America in Ukraine, the NATO Representation to Ukraine, and the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) were also in attendance at the meeting. In the course of the discussion, the participants expressed their vision and proposals on reforming the Security Service of Ukraine.
The сommittee has also set up a joint inter-factional working group in charge of preparing the said bill, which should be based on NATO-EU standards.
