Festival of innovation projects "Sikorsky Challenge 2014", which took place on October 14 in the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", was named after a famous aircraft designer of Kyiv origin, former student of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Ihor Ivanovych Sikorkyi.

In her speech, Chairperson of the Committee Lilia Hrynevych stressed: "Cooperation between the Minor Academy of Sciences, "Intel – Techno", and "Sikorsky Challenge" in Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is a concentration of young and mature intellect. I believe such cooperation is very fruitful. There are a lot of obstacles in this difficult time for our country. On the one hand, this time is very painful and dramatic, on the other hand, this period of time obliges us to make changes, to create new reality for Ukraine", claimed L. Hrynevych.

Ukrainian military men, political and state figures, representatives of public organizations and the IT sphere, scientists, scholars, people's deputies, representatives of the Security Service, the Ministry of Defence, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs participated in the round table meeting entitled "Problems of state and public counteraction to anti-Ukrainian informational war: where insurance of national security ends and censorship begins" organized by the National Expert Commission of Ukraine on the Protection of Public Morality.

Lilia Hrynevych said that "Informational war has long-term consequences. We shall realize that we live in a different reality now as compared to few months earlier. An undisguised and a disguised war are being conducted in Ukraine. Even after the war we will be experiencing its grave consequences during many years".

"We are on the verge of adopting a new educational strategy. Patriotic upbringing, knowledge of native history, cooperation with the church and some moral aspects shall be represented in the new Law "On Education", claimed the Chairperson of the Committee.

"The issue on national security is now being actualized, and everyone should react to this. This includes not merely the army's actions and protection of the borders – national security and independence of our country should be protected everywhere: at borders, in classrooms and mass media. Therefore, I think the bill "On amendments to several legislative acts re protection of constitutional order, territorial integrity, and informational security of Ukraine", that is suggested for the discussion at this meeting, is very topical", stressed the people's deputy.
