Ukraine is counting on the opening of three negotiation clusters on the path to European Union membership. This will be an important signal of confidence in the reforms carried out and the stability of the state.
This was emphasized by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, during a meeting with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos and EU Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius.
During the conversation, the parties paid special attention to Ukraine's further European integration, the promotion of reforms, and preparations for post-war reconstruction.
“We are preparing to rebuild a strong, democratic, and prosperous Ukraine—together with our European partners. Ukraine is already contributing to the formation of a new European security architecture, having unique experience in countering aggression,” Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine informed his interlocutors that the security situation remains difficult: russia continues its massive attacks on civilian and energy infrastructure. In this context, increasing sanctions pressure and countering sanctions evasion remain critically important.
Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked the peoples of Europe for their solidarity and unprecedented support for Ukraine. He stressed that on the anniversary of the full-scale war, the unity of partners in understanding that Ukraine's security is an integral part of the security of Europe as a whole is particularly evident.
