First of all, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine stressed that such visits are especially important in such mournful days for Ukraine, when Ukraine commemorates the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-33.
"Unpunished evil always revives. 90 years ago, the stalinist regime used hunger as a weapon against Ukrainians," said Ruslan Stefanchuk, stressing that today the putin regime is using hunger as a weapon against the world: "That is why unity and solidarity with Ukraine in our fight against the aggressor are extremely important."
During the conversation, the parties also paid much attention to further political support for Ukraine, Ukraine's path to full membership in the European Union and NATO, the establishment of compensation mechanisms, freezing of russian assets and bringing russia to justice, as well as support for Ukraine's energy sector.
"Ukraine is grateful to Lithuania for all the assistance provided since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. And we appreciate Lithuania's readiness to be with Ukraine until victory and afterwards," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine concluded, noting that relations between Ukraine and Lithuania are an example of how to demonstrate unity in the world in the pursuit of democratic values.
