“Today, Denmark is one of the leaders in terms of financial assistance to our country,” said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk during a meeting with Minister of Enterprise of Denmark Morten Bodskov during his official visit to the country.
The parties discussed, among other things, the issues of rebuilding Ukraine and investment in Ukraine.
“Despite the war, we have examples of high-quality Ukrainian-Danish cooperation. In particular, the restoration of water supply in Mykolaiv,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk, adding that it is already possible to discuss projects for future cooperation in rebuilding Ukraine.
“We are ready to talk today not so much about war as about peace. It is very important to think about how the story of Ukraine’s reconstruction can become a success story for the entire civilised world,” the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed. He also noted that it is necessary to consider the possibility of attracting the largest businesses and inviting their investments to Ukraine.
“Ukraine sees the opportunity to invest in the green economy, the development of the IT industry and the security economy. Our priority is ecology and energy efficiency,” said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
In addition, he expressed hope that “Ukraine, as a global breadbasket, will be able to recover and offer a very large amount of grain to enter agricultural markets around the world, thanks to our colleagues.”
“We are looking for new ways of support. Together we will help with weapons and humanitarian aid, and we are also talking about cooperation between Ukrainian and Danish businesses,” said Morten Bodskov, the Minister of Enterprise of Denmark.
He also stressed that the russians are deliberately destroying critical infrastructure and bombing the Ukrainian people, which is why Danish and Ukrainian companies should join forces for specific reconstruction projects.
“Ukraine is open for investment. As a representative of the Parliament of Ukraine, I can guarantee that Ukraine will continue to follow the path of reforms,” concluded the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk.
