The Special International Tribunal for the trial of top russian officials for the crime of aggression against Ukraine should try not only putin and the russian military leadership.
All deputies of the russian State Duma and federation Council who voted for the decision to invade Ukraine and annex our territories should sit on the dock.
It was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk during her participation in the Kyiv Security Forum “Everything for Victory” organized by the Arsenii Yatseniuk Open Ukraine Foundation.
According to the Vice-Speaker, now the key task for Ukraine is to create such an International Special Tribunal together with other leaders and parliaments of Europe and the world.
“This is a huge work to be done to build a new security architecture. And it is impossible without restoring justice for Ukraine and punishing all russian war criminals without exception,” she said.
“For me personally, as the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine, one of the key tasks in the creation and functioning of the special tribunal is to punish the scum deputies of the russian State Duma and the federation Council who voted for the deployment of troops on the territory of Ukraine, the decision to annex Crimea, the recognition and accession of the so-called “lnr” and “dnr”, the attempt to annex the territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions,” stressed Olena Kondratiuk.
She emphasized that all these russian deputies are criminals and should be brought to justice by the International Special Tribunal “by name, everyone who pressed the “for” button.
