"Recognition of a terrorist state or, in some countries, recognition of a state sponsor of terrorism is an according legal status," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine noted on the air of the national  "UA Together" telethon.

At the same time, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine added that this is not only a political nuance, "This decision is followed by absolutely specific consequences.  In particular, when the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appealed to the United States to recognize russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, this imposed decisive restrictions on russia's activities in the world."  Ruslan Stefanchuk said that "if this happens, any cooperation of another country with the russian federation entails the corresponding legal and financial consequences regarding the sanctions pressure on those states that will cooperate with russia in any sphere."

"Many countries have other statuses.  Therefore, we appeal to everyone. It is very important for Ukraine that the whole world both politically and legally recognizes that what the russian federation is doing has only one definition - terrorism," emphasized the Speaker of the Parliament, adding that yesterday's actions of the russian federation were a clear indication that "russia, which is suffering losses and retreats at the front, chooses another way - to fight the civilian population, "All over the world it is called terrorism with the corresponding consequences that will certainly follow."

In addition, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reminded that yesterday Germany announced that it will transfer the most modern IRIS-T anti-aircraft system to Ukraine at an accelerated pace. "Yesterday, as a result of the negotiations between the President of Ukraine and the President of the United States, there was an agreement on the transfer of modern air defense systems," Ruslan Stefanchuk noted at the same time, expressing his belief that "the same decisions will be made by other states that saw the true face of the russian federation yesterday."

"Today, Ukraine really needs the most modern system. This generally fits into the concept of the new Ukrainian state, for which security is the #1 priority," the Speaker of the Parliament emphasized at the end, noting that he had already discussed these issues with all the speakers of the parliaments of the G7, the European Union, and the G20, "We are expecting an appropriate parliamentary reaction from our colleagues. They all assured me that they will make every effort to ensure that Ukraine receives the most modern equipment so that peaceful people stop dying."
