"I thank Mr. Vice Marshal Ryszard Terletsky, the leadership and all deputies of the Polish Sejm for their sincere solidarity with Ukraine. For the support of the Ukrainian people during the greatest threat to our independence and territorial integrity," said Olena Kondratiuk.
In the Resolution adopted on January 27, the Polish Sejm appealed to NATO and the EU to provide full support to Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression. The document states that Russia's activities pose a serious risk of causing armed conflict and destabilizing Europe, which is contrary to the interests of the Republic of Poland.
The Polish Sejm also opposed the launch of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline, which "breaks European unity in the face of aggressive actions by the Russian Federation." The Polish Sejm stressed that Ukraine is a sovereign, free and democratic state.
