Meeting with Tudor Ulianovschi, the Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine A.Parubiy stressed the importance of concerted efforts in the realm of information security and deepening inter-parliamentary cooperation

The Chairman underlined that "inter-parliamentary diplomacy is of great importance not only in our region, but also in Europe as a whole". Andriy Parubiy noted that all the countries of our region have a huge potential for cooperation, in particular, under conditions of identical aggressive challenges on the part of the Russian Federation.  "Occupation forces camped in Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia," he said, adding that "in fact, solving problems in one country has much in common with the other countries", thus invoking a kind of a uniform strategy.

Of extreme importance for Ukraine called A.Parubiy the decision of creating the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly Ukraine-Moldova-Georgia - as well as for other countries, pointing out the high dynamics of mutual relations.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada emphasized the importance of  systemiс elucidating the situation in Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia to European and American partners for better understanding and perception of the processes in their countries.

The Chairman recalled the previously established Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Ukraine-Poland-Lithuania, as the Baltic-Black Sea Belt, which also performs a protective function.  According to him, the Baltic states are well aware that should Ukraine not withstand, then they also see the Russian aggressor at the gates.

A.Parubiy stressed that the countries of the region should “oftener to speak in one voice, perhaps not only the three, but involving a wider circle of like-minded neighboring countries", like it had been with the joint anti-Nord Stream 2 letter.

The parties also discussed the prospects of establishing a regional strategic centre for countering Russian hybrid aggression.

A.Parubiy appealed as well to the Moldovan minister asking the Parliament of his country to recognize the Holodomor in Ukraine as genocide of the Ukrainian people. “It is very important for Ukraine. And it is also of high significance not to allow this in any country of the world".

In his turn, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration Tudor Ulianovschi noted that there should be a "joint voice and a common approach in the conversation with Washington and the EU".

Also, according to him, "a common approach is very important in relations with the Russian Federation, including the risks coming from the Russian side".  "European prospects require joint political efforts," he added.
