Andriy Parubiy: The law recognizing Russia to be aggressor is certain to go through the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
This has been said by the Chairman of the Parliament upon a break in considering the law on the state policy to secure Ukraine’s sovereignty over the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk-Luhansk oblasts – the so called ‘Reintegration law’ (bill No.7163).
It was agreed at
the break by the parliamentary factions’ heads that the Minsk accords-related
provisions are to be cut out from the law's text in question. “This blanket understanding
was meant to deblock the floor debates on the law. However, the rostrum is
still under siege which seems to be unacceptable as we ought to hereby
recognize Russia as aggressor legally,” stressed the Chairperson of the
Parliament.
“We shall continue to review this law for sure, though today’s parliamentary session is pronounced closed,” said A. Parubiy. “The law defining Russia as aggressor is sure to be taken here in the House. This much is certain to be approved. Glory to Ukraine!”
