On May 30
A.Parubii visited Khurvaleti, a settlement of
80
km away from Tbilisi. He took
advantage of his official visit to Georgia to see firsthand where the Russian
occupants put the illegal border between free Georgia and the occupied
territories in 2011.
‘This settlement was halved by Russian razor wire. It
divided the families, the fates and lives, having torn asunder even the
graveyard road. This wire does stand for the present-day Russia of Putin,’
noted the Parliament’s chairman viewing the illicit demarcation.
While in Khurvaleti, A.Parubii mixed with the locals, serviceman, civil observers, and local press. Later on, the Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament met with Georgian parliamentarians for talks about the features of our cooperation at the parliamentary level.
The Georgian official visit concluded.
