After the meeting of the Conciliatory Council, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Parubiy, told briefing participants that all heads of the Ukrainian parliamentary committees expressed their support for elaboration of the agenda as one of the elements of the parliamentary reform.

According to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, this week it is planned to consider an environment block, which consists of nine issues; a block on industrial policy and entrepreneurship.

Besides, the Thursday agenda envisions the blocks on culture, education and humanitarian policy.

Andriy Parubiy does not rule out that the said blocks can be supplemented with other important issues. He noted that other important matters are: the consideration of the Government's decision to amend the national budget. In particular, the amendments envision additional financing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ministry of Interior Affairs of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine.

Andriy Parubiy added that international initiatives will also be on the agenda, in particular, one touching the detention of Ukrainian journalist Roman Suschenko.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada said he had requested the Committee on Foreign Affairs to draft an address to international institutions to give their response to the Suschenko's arrest, the ban on the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and the investigation into the plane's downing.

The head of the Ukrainian Parliament also noted the importance of further consideration of the visa regime introduction with the Russian Federation.

Andriy Parubiy also intends to request President Petro Poroshenko to again submit his proposals as to the Central Election Commission member candidacies.
