The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law “On amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine” (re strengthening responsibility for violating citizens’ electoral rights)

The legislative act provides additional protection to citizens’ electoral rights; increases responsibility for their violation; and prevents repetition of negative consequences in the course of the next elections and referendums, etc.

The document provides a new version of articles 158, 1581 and 160 of the Criminal Code.

The respective bill was registered under No. 4741.
