Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov deems adoption of the Law of Ukraine "On the Prosecutor's Office" a historic event for Ukraine.
During the Tuesday morning plenary meeting, Oleksandr Turchynov stated that with adoption of this legislative act, which is a real step on the European way of Ukraine, national prosecutor's office will become "truly European". "The reform of law-enforcement structures starts with the reform of the prosecutor's office", he stressed.
In words of the Chairperson of the Parliament, this is "a way to civilization, to a European society".
316 people's deputies upheld the law.
