This park will become a space of honor dedicated to those who stood on the information front, risking their lives for the truth. It will commemorate journalists who lost their lives in the line of duty, as well as all media professionals who became victims of the conflict.

Since the beginning of russian full-scale invasion, Ukraine lost 107 media specialists. Among them, 12 lost their lives while carrying out editorial assignments, and another 95 became victims of shelling, combat operations, or torture. These include journalists, camera operators, photographers, and editors—those who continued to deliver the truth even under the most dangerous conditions.

The event was attended by Yevhenii Brahar, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Freedom of Speech.

«They were ordinary people - they loved, dreamed, had plans. Their lives were cut short because of the war: some were killed in the line of duty, some on their way to work, and some were tortured in russian captivity. The most important thing we can do is to keep the memory of each of them alive,» said Yevhen Bragar, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Freedom of Speech, who also took part in the event.

The park was created on the initiative of TERWIN Corporation with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, the Department of Environmental Protection and Climate Change Adaptation of the Kyiv City State Administration and the VARUS supermarket chain.
