Industrial manufacturers seem to be competing in reporting increased localization of their products. This is a very important trend, especially noticeable at this year's forum.
Kyiv-based company Paton presented the fifth generation of its welding equipment. Ukrainian equipment for air-plasma cutting and micro-welding is among the best in the world. A visit to the plant was agreed upon.
Colleagues from Dnipro — the company "Additive Laser Technologies of Ukraine" — presented Ukrainian industrial equipment for metal 3D printing using selective laser melting technology. In essence, it is a printer capable of producing any complex metal part.
At the industrial forum, Ukrainian laser machine manufacturer Aramis demonstrated how exciting modern metalworking looks. It was interesting to learn that the Cherkasy-based manufacturer offers its customers a 3-year loan with a 0% interest rate.
At the forum, the Zaporizhzhia Abrasive Plant showcased its new Smart line of cutting and grinding tools. During discussions with plant representatives, we addressed the issue of aggressive price dumping by Chinese manufacturers and emphasized the need for an anti-dumping investigation.
We also reviewed the current developments involving three Ukrainian special-purpose equipment manufacturers — Tital, Validus, and Pozhmashina. Over the past three years, due to the implementation of the localization policy, the share of domestically produced components in their machinery has increased by an average of 30%. A recent breakthrough is the production of the first Ukrainian-made aerial ladder for fire trucks.
