Members of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the PA NATO took part in the 101st Rose-Roth Seminar.

The topics of this year's seminar focuses on regional and current security challenges and stability in the Western Balkan region, in particular Serbia's cooperation with the EU and NATO, reforms that are conducted by the RS in the areas of safety sector, combating the distribution of disinformation, confronting the pandemic of the COVID-19 virus. Also on the economic, social and environmental problems of Western Balkans.

During the discussions, the Head of the Ukrainian delegation violated the issue of continuing aggression of Russia against Ukraine, in particular in the context of the Temporary Occupation by Russia Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, as well as support Russia's militants in the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Among other things, Yehor Chernev, referring to Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic, noted that Russia temporarily occupied part of Ukraine and that the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine continues today. Separately, the Chairperson of the Ukrainian delegation noted that Ukraine has good ties with Serbia, values these relations, but at the same time expects a more clear and consistent position of Serbia in the issue of non-recognition of the temporary annexation of Crimea.

In turn, the Serbian side noted that Serbia always advocates compliance with international law and builds relations with all countries of the world based on mutual respect and equality.

Ana Brnabic also emphasized that Serbia does not see threats from the Russian Federation with which have fruitful economic relations, in particular in the energy sector and develop relations with Russia as well as the majority of EU and NATO member states.
