First Deputy Speaker of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with Chairpersons of the Foreign Affairs Committees of the Parliaments of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, Marko Mihkelson, Richard Kols and Zygimantas Pavilionis.

The First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada thanked his colleagues from the Parliaments of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia for their constant and consistent support of Ukraine in the face of the aggression of the Russian Federation.

"I am grateful to the representatives of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania for such a lightning reaction to the aggression of the Russian Federation. Ukraine remains committed to resolving any issues at the political and diplomatic level. That is why I will be very grateful to the Parliaments of your countries if they join the Crimean Platform, which aims to deoccupy Crimea and return it to Ukraine peacefully. Your support is crucial for us and will mean solidarity in counteracting Russia's aggressive policy," Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed.

Special attention was paid to the discussion of Ukraine's course towards European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

"I really want Ukraine to have a chance to become the 31st member of NATO and part of the big European family in the near future. We want to receive a decision from the Allies to provide Ukraine with an Action Plan for NATO membership in the near future. We hope to form the necessary consensus among the allies and fully count on support in this issue," said the First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine. He noted that Ukraine also appreciates the reliable support of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, the continuation of sanctions against Russia, the provision of financial, economic and humanitarian assistance, as well as overcoming the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
