Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy
The committee held an enhanced field sitting in Volyn, which was dedicated to functioning of cultural establishments in conditions of de-centralization. The focus of the discussion was put on art schools, museum, libraries and library science. Following the meeting, the committee will finalize and adopt a number of important decisions to be then sent out to the Cabinet, the youth ministry and other line ministries, agencies and departments.
Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy
The сommittee recommends to adopt it on the second reading the bill No.2047-d aimed at eliminating venal practices in property valuation procedures. The bill kills further use of so called “electronic platforms” engaged in property assessment procedures, as the platforms have teemed with corruption risks.
The purpose of the bill is to enable citizens to self-assess their property on the basis of automatic valuation. The committee also recommends that the Verkhovna Rada take it on the first reading the draft bill No.2166 made to extend single social contribution benefits over retirees conducting self-supporting professional activity.
