Within the Warsaw Security Forum, the foreign affairs committee head Hanna Hopko spoke of Europe’s future
On October 25, she delivered her speech during a panel discussion on the topic “Europe - United and Free: Hindsight & Foresight”, taking place within the frame of the above forum.
In her speech, Hanna Hopko stressed the importance of maintaining unity within the EU, particularly in combating numerous aggressive strategies of the Russian Federation. She also pointed out that a peaceful settlement in the east of Ukraine should be high on the EU’s agenda, stressing that investments in stability of countries are far more important than in overcoming the challenges of destabilization.
The committee head expressed gratitude to the colleagues from the European Parliament for the resolution adopted today touching the situation around the Sea of Azov and support of the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
While in Warsaw, the politician met with H.E. Mr Richard
Terletsky, Vice-Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, and Bartosz Cichocki,
the Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister of Poland. During the meetings, the sides
discussed the topical issues of bilateral dialogue, in particular, the
intensification of contacts between Ukrainian and Polish parliamentarians,
deepening of interaction in providing energy security and expanding the
dialogue on regional cooperation issues.
