The Vasyl Yanitskyi’s visit to Canada in the frames of the component of the Ukrainian-Canadian Judicial Education for Economic Growth project started on May 5 and will last until May 16, 2015.
The visit is aimed at studying practical application of the procedure of pretrial regulation of disputes at courts in the context of different fields of Law, as well as at elaboration of respective practical recommendations.
Besides, the program of the visit envisions working meetings with representatives of the federal Government of Canada.
Reference information: Based in Ottawa, the National Judicial Institute (NJI) is an independent, not-for-profit institution that specializes in the education of judges in Canada and internationally. With financial support from Foreign Affairs Trade and Development Canada, NJI is implementing the Judicial Education for Economic Growth project in Ukraine. This 5-year project works closely with the National School of Judges to develop new courses and interactive training approaches for Ukrainian judges that are based on real-life court cases. This Canadian support is helping the National School of Judges build a professional cadre of judges across the Ukrainian court system.
