This is the first meeting within the framework of the official visit of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Czech Republic, where the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform will be held on Tuesday, 24 October.

First of all, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine expressed his gratitude to his colleague for providing a platform for the joint organisation of this Summit. He also thanked the Czech Republic for its comprehensive support of Ukraine and solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of important issues. In particular, much attention was paid to the situation at the frontline, the needs of the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine, and the preparation and protection of critical infrastructure. They also raised the issue of mechanisms for confiscating frozen russian assets and the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to russia.

“The situation in the financial sector of Ukraine and its reconstruction are also in focus,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

Finally, he stressed that one of the main topics is the restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity: “In particular, tomorrow’s Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform will be dedicated to this issue.”
