The First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko took part in hearings on preparation for the new academic year and security in the communities of frontline regions that were held within the framework of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, initiated by Victor Mykyta, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

"It is important for us to do everything possible so that children can learn fully, receive a quality education, and stay in Ukraine. We understand that we cannot always influence security challenges, but we can and must create conditions that allow education to keep functioning even under the most difficult circumstances," emphasized Oleksandr Korniienko.

According to the First Deputy Speaker, during his visits to regions, he always pays special attention to the educational sector. Today a lot of educational institutions in communities look significantly better than even before the full-scale invasion. This, he emphasized, is the result of joint work of the state, regions, and local communities.

Oleksandr Korniienko noted that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is ready to further support legislative decisions important for ensuring a stable educational process. The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovations plays an important role in this work.

"Cooperation at the level of the state, regions, local communities provides an opportunity to move forward even during the most difficult circumstances," Oleksandr Korniienko underscored.
