Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, held a meeting on current issues in Ukraine’s foreign policy and the role of Parliament in its implementation. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Government, heads of Parliament’s permanent delegations to international parliamentary assemblies, and members of parliamentary groups on interparliamentary relations.
During the meeting, participants discussed further coordination among all institutions involved in shaping and implementing Ukraine’s foreign policy.
As the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada emphasized, Ukraine must speak with one voice on the international stage—with clear priorities and coordinated messages.
Key tasks include further strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, energy resilience, and financial support; increasing sanctions pressure on russia; ensuring the aggressor is held accountable; and advancing Ukraine’s path toward membership in the European Union and NATO.
Ruslan Stefanchuk noted that it is important to continue developing cooperation with the parliaments of partner countries, the European Parliament, G7 countries, and within other international frameworks, using all opportunities offered by parliamentary diplomacy to protect Ukraine’s interests.
