Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, held a meeting with Gaël Veyssière, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Ukraine, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada thanked Gaël Veyssière for his personal contribution to strengthening Ukrainian-French relations, as well as for his sincere cooperation and friendship with Ukraine.
He noted that during this period, the partnership between the two nations has significantly deepened across political, defense, economic, humanitarian, and cultural spheres.
The parties separately discussed the practical implementation of long-term agreement in the defence sector, the strengthening of the aviation and air defence components, as well as France’s further support for Ukraine’s European integration and the opening of the subsequent negotiation clusters.
“We highly value France’s leadership within the G7, its sanctions policy against russia, its support for Ukraine at the European Union level, and the active cooperation between our parliaments. It is precisely this consistency from our partners that helps strengthen Ukraine and bring a just peace closer,” emphasized Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada.
