Institutional capacity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is one of the key prerequisites for progress towards EU membership. This issue was discussed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, during a phone conversation with the European Commissioner of Enlargement, Marta Kos.
Marta Kos noted that the Ukrainian Parliament brilliantly demonstrates the ability to adopt decisions that are important for advancing along the European path and thanked the MPs of Ukraine for their support of the European Integrational legislation.
The parties discussed the opening of negotiating clusters and further steps in Ukraine's EU accession process. Marta Kos expressed optimism about Ukraine's European future and emphasized the important role of the Verkhovna Rada in advancing European integration.
Ruslan Stefanchuk highlighted that Ukraine continues to move steadily and responsibly towards full membership in the EU.
