The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, held a meeting with the German Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, SPD Co-Chair Bärbel Bas. This conversation was an important part of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine's working visit to Berlin and confirmed that Ukraine and Germany remain reliable strategic partners.

During the meeting, the parties discussed budgetary processes in both countries and the issue of long-term financial support for Ukraine. Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasised the importance of securing the volume of aid from Germany for the next year, particularly in the defence and humanitarian spheres.

Special attention was paid to humanitarian issues, in particular the situation of Ukrainians who have found temporary refuge in Germany due to the war. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada thanked the German government and society for their care and support for Ukrainians. At the same time, he stressed the need to counter russian information operations aimed at inciting hostility and discrediting Ukrainians abroad.

‘I am grateful to Ms. Bärbel Bas for her frank dialogue, solidarity with our people and consistent support for Ukraine,’ Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasised.
