Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk met with Minister-Delegate for European Affairs of France Benjamin Haddad, Chairman of the France-Ukraine Friendship Group Gabriel Attal, and Chairman of the EU Committee of the French National Assembly Pierre-Alexandre Anglade. The Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament thanked France for its military assistance, support for Ukraine's European integration course and sanctions pressure on the aggressor state.

The parties discussed the development of joint defence projects, in particular, the localisation of high-tech systems production in Ukraine. A separate topic was the prospects for signing a strategic partnership agreement in the areas of critical resources, nuclear energy, and advanced technologies.

"European integration is our priority. Ukraine has completed the screening of three clusters and is ready to open the maximum number of areas this year. We count on France's further support in political decisions to start negotiations," said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

According to the Chairman of the Parliament, Paris remains a key ally of Kyiv in the defence and political spheres. "France is a strategic partner of Ukraine. Together we are strengthening the security of Europe and bringing a just peace closer," Ruslan Stefanchuk concluded.
