The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, discussed issues of peace, security and support for Ukraine with the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Gordan Jandroković.
The Croatian Parliament consistently supports Ukraine, and the principle of ‘Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine’ remains unshakeable. Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasised that Ukraine's key ‘red lines’ remain unchanged: territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty.
The parties agreed that any negotiations to resolve the situation must be based exclusively on international law. Croatia assured Ukraine of its continued support and assistance in strengthening Europe's role in the peace process.
«We are united in our understanding that Europe's position must be clearly represented at the negotiating table. I am sincerely grateful to Croatia for its solidarity, consistency and support during this most difficult time for us,» said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada.
