The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk had a telephone conversation with the Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson.
During the conversation, Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked our American colleague for his consistent support of Ukraine in the fight against russian aggression and stressed the importance of further strengthening sanctions pressure on russia. The parties also discussed ways to deter the aggressor and coordinate efforts in this regard.
The parties agreed to intensify inter-parliamentary cooperation as a key component of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada invited Mike Johnson to visit Kyiv and informed about the agreement to meet in the framework of the G7 Parliamentary Summit to be held in September in Canada.
«Our partnership is strengthening, and joint decisions bring peace and security in Europe and the world closer,» Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed.
