A bright and honest man. A patriot. An entrepreneur who consistently defended the economic development of Ukraine, becoming a politician.
Yaroslav Rushchyshyn was one of the founders of the Student Brotherhood in Lviv, a participant in the 1990 student hunger strike - the Revolution on Granite. He belonged to the generation that fought for Ukraine's independence.
In the Verkhovna Rada, he worked as the Secretary of the Committee on Economic Development. He defended the interests of Ukrainian business, protected entrepreneurs, and was consistent in deregulation and creating conditions for economic growth. He always said that a strong economy means a strong Ukraine.
He was a man with an active civil position, an honorary senator of the Ukrainian Catholic University, a co-founder of the Lviv Business School LvBS, and was involved in cultural and educational issues.
He was awarded the Order of Merit, second class.
The memory of Yaroslav - his actions, words and deeds - will remain with those who knew him, worked with him and shared his views.
We extend our deepest condolences to Yaroslav's family, friends and family.
