Within the official visit of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk addressed the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

The speech began with a moment of silence, announced by the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Claude Wiseler, in honor of the 15 Ukrainians who died as a result of yet another overnight attack by russia. In turn, Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized: «While the world wakes up, russia continues to kill. And we have no right to remain silent.»

The Chairman of the Ukrainian expressed gratitude to the people of Luxembourg for their consistent support: for the supply of weapons, the imposition of sanctions, the recognition of the Holodomor as genocide, the defence of the rights of the Crimean Tatars, as well as for their assistance on the humanitarian, political, and legal fronts.

He emphasised that supporting Ukraine is not only a matter of solidarity, but also a struggle for justice and the defence of the European order. «Peace is only possible if it is fair. Peace at the expense of Ukraine is not peace, but surrender. And the surrender of Ukraine is the surrender of Europe,» said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

In his address, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada emphasized the importance of establishing an international tribunal for russia as a step toward restoring justice, and reminded that deported Ukrainian children cannot be treated as bargaining chips. «It is an act of absolute cynicism to propose exchanging kidnapped Ukrainian children for russian prisoners of war. Children must be returned home—immediately and unconditionally,» he stressed.

Ruslan Stefanchuk called on the Luxembourg Parliament to continue to be a leader in supporting Ukraine - to increase sanctions pressure, expand defence assistance, and support Ukraine's accession to the European Union and NATO.

«You can have a huge territory like russia and be insignificant. Or, like Luxembourg, you can be a great country with a great heart. A fortress of freedom, solidarity and justice,» he summed up.
