On the Day of Remembrance of Children who died as a result of the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk called for the memory of every child's life taken by the war.
«4 June is a heartbreaking date. Hundreds of Ukrainian children were killed by russian bombs and missiles. Their names, their smiles, their childhood dreams are forever etched in our memory. We will never forgive. And we will never forget,» Ruslan Stefanchuk wrote.
The Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament stressed that these crimes have no statute of limitations and will be called by their proper name.
«Everyone responsible for crimes against children must be brought to justice. At the highest international level. This is our duty to those whose lives ended prematurely, and to those who are living under fire today but believe in justice,» said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Day of Remembrance of Children Who Died as a Result of the russian armed aggression against Ukraine was established by a resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 2021. It aims not only to preserve the memory of the youngest victims of the war, but also to draw attention to crimes committed against civilians, including children.
