The Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk, together with Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine's Reconstruction Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Oleksandr Mishchenko, and Ambassador of Azerbaijan Seymur Mardaliyev, visited the renovated Irpin City Polyclinic.
«Eight hundred medical professionals work here, serving up to one thousand patients. Thanks to Azerbaijan’s assistance, this healthcare facility now has not only a new roof and windows, but also a shelter, a modern fire safety system, and ventilation» stated Deputy Speaker Olena Kondratiuk.
She highlighted that Irpin holds both strategic and symbolic significance for Azerbaijan, because there is a street and square named after Zarifa Aliyeva, an eminent ophthalmologist, academician, and wife of Heydar Aliyev.
The Deputy Speaker also noted that two years ago she visited Baku to participate in the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev at the Parliament of Azerbaijan.
«At that time I spoke about how russian missiles were striking just near the Heydar Aliyev Square in Kyiv, killing residents of the capital. I also spoke about the de-occupied city of Irpin and School No. 12. This school, named after Heydar Aliyev’s wife, Zarifa Aliyeva, was shelled by russian forces and destroyed by 50%. Azerbaijan helped rebuild it in a record 45 days so that Ukrainian children could return to school by September 1,» emphasized Olena Kondratiuk.
She added that Azerbaijan’s contribution to Ukraine’s humanitarian reconstruction amounts to tens of millions of dollars.

I congratulate the Irpin community on the opening of the renovated polyclinic,» Deputy Speaker Olena Kondratiuk concluded.
