The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with U.S. Congressman and Co-Chair of the Ukraine Caucus Brian Fitzpatrick.
In the course of the meeting, the parties discussed a number of crucial issues, including the preparation and promotion of legislative initiatives in support of Ukraine, as well as further cooperation within the framework of the US peace initiative and the implementation of the «peace through strength» formula.
Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked the Congressman for his continued support of Ukraine in the fight against russian aggression and underlined the special importance of bicameral and bipartisan support for Ukraine in the US Congress.
«The United States remains our strategic partner, and we deeply appreciate the solidarity demonstrated by the American people and politicians, regardless of political affiliation,» the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine said.
The sides share a common belief that peace in Ukraine is possible only on the basis of justice, strength and international solidarity.
