Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, reported on the completion of the international Bucha Summit, an event that brought together parliamentarians from democratic countries to commemorate the victims of russian aggression.

Ruslan Stefanchuk expressed his appreciation to the parliamentarians of democratic countries who came to Bucha, a city that three years ago became one of the most terrible symbols of war, and which today has united world leaders in a common desire for justice and punishment of the perpetrators.

«Bucha did not yield. It survived russian aggression, losses and destruction. And today it is reviving. Together with the delegations of the parliaments of democratic countries, we have adopted a joint statement that contains a clear message to the whole world: aggression cannot escape unpunished, and justice must prevail,» Ruslan Stefanchuk said.

In his words, every war crime must be investigated and the responsible ones must be punished. In addition, Ruslan Stefanchuk underlined that such a tragedy should never happen again.

The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament thanked every country that supports Ukraine and noted that this support will never be forgotten. ‘Bucha is waiting for the truth. And it believes in justice.

«We will do everything to make this belief come true,» Ruslan Stefanchuk concluded.
