During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of interparliamentary cooperation between Ukraine and Lithuania, particularly in the context of the recent historic visit of the Lithuanian Government headed by Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas.

"I hope for the further strengthening of our interparliamentary relations. I am confident that active and effective cooperation of our parliaments will continue in all formats: assemblies, committees, groups on interparliamentary relations and delegations to international organizations," highlighted Ruslan Stefanchuk.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to international support for Ukraine. The Chairman of the Parliament emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to consolidate partners within international mechanisms, in particular the parliamentary dimension of the Crimean Platform and the Peace Formula.

Ruslan Stefanchuk also thanked the Republic of Lithuania for its consistent support for Ukraine, emphasizing that the Seimas of Lithuania of the previous convocation became the first parliament to support the Victory Plan in the Joint Statement within the framework of a meeting of the bilateral parliamentary assembly and called on the parliaments and governments of other countries to provide the same unconditional support.

Separately, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed gratitude to Lithuania for its assistance in the military-technical sphere, in particular for the decision to allocate at least 0.25% of GDP annually for the defence and security needs of Ukraine, as well as for investments in the Ukrainian defence-industrial complex.

"I am sincerely grateful to the Republic of Lithuania for its unwavering and unconditional support for Ukraine," Ruslan Stefanchuk concluded.
