Speaking at the opening of the forum in Halifax, Canada, Ruslan Stefanchuk expressed deep gratitude to the organizers, particularly the Forum's President, Peter Van Praagh, for his unwavering support for Ukraine.
“Your words that Ukraine’s resilience and sacrifices inspire everyone who loves freedom are a key theme not only of our panel, ‘The Era of Unity: Ukraine’s Victory,’ but also of the entire conference,” he emphasized.
Ruslan Stefanchuk highlighted that the Halifax Forum is a unique platform that unites democracy and its defense, which are the foundation of our shared security.
He stressed that Ukraine is currently at the forefront of the fight for democracy and freedom, defending these values from brutal and unprovoked Russian aggression. “Like millions of Ukrainians, as the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, I deeply understand the meaning of democracy and cannot imagine life without it,” noted the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Speaker also stated that the democratic world will undoubtedly achieve victory through joint efforts. He thanked Ukraine’s allies for their assistance and underlined the importance of unity in addressing modern challenges.
“I wish everyone productive work and am confident that, together, we will prevail,” concluded Ruslan Stefanchuk.
