On 9 September 2024, a meeting of the Interagency Working Group on Improving Public Administration Legislation was held under the joint chairmanship of Oleksandr Korniienko, the First Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and Oleh Nemchinov, the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

A number of issues were discussed during the event, including the introduction in 2025 of a remuneration system for civil servants based on the classification of positions in government agencies that did not switch to the relevant remuneration system in 2024. The participants of the working group also discussed the definition of jurisdictional levels and types of government agencies for the purpose of setting salaries. Particular attention was paid to setting the minimum salary of a civil servant at a level not less than the minimum wage established by law.

“The work on fair remuneration is ongoing. Discussions are ongoing. We keep all challenges in focus and look for solutions that will be an effective response to them. We are always in dialogue and analyze the results of the steps we have already taken,” said the First Vice Speaker Oleksandr Korniienko in his speech.

Following the hearing and discussion of the reports of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service, the First Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine thanked the participants of the meeting for their work.
